AI video clipping tools compared

ChopHub, OpusClip, Vizard and Klap all turn long videos into short clips. They differ in what happens next: editing depth, how much video your money buys, and how the clips get posted. Here is when each one fits, including where ChopHub isn't the strongest choice.

The detailed comparisons

Each one goes plan by plan through prices, credits, publishing and editing, and each has a section on where the other tool is stronger.

When ChopHub isn't the right choice

We would rather you pick the right tool than sign up and leave. ChopHub is probably the wrong choice if any of these matter most to you:

  • You want a timeline and transitions. Studio edits through the transcript, captions, reframing, B-roll, music and branding, but has no multi-track timeline or transitions. On Pro and above you can export an EDL, FCP 7 XML or CSV markers for Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, or a CapCut bundle.
  • Your footage lives in Drive, Zoom or Twitch. ChopHub takes file uploads and YouTube links only, so you download first.
  • You need 4K or the biggest allowance. ChopHub renders up to 1080p. Vizard's paid plans list from 600 credits a month, against 300 on ChopHub Pro.
  • You run everything through Zapier, Make or n8n. Klap lists those integrations and an MCP server. ChopHub offers a REST API on Pro and above.
  • You make short-form natively. ChopHub's value is in cutting up long recordings. With none, it has nothing to work with.
  • You want a long track record. ChopHub is a small, newer product, far less established than OpusClip or Klap.

What to check when comparing any clipping tool

  • What a credit buys. ChopHub bills 1 credit per minute of video you upload, however many clips come out. Other tools may count differently.
  • Whether publishing costs anything. On ChopHub, publishing never uses credits. Check whether posting to a given platform or account draws on your allowance elsewhere.
  • Posting, or just downloading. Some tools hand you files to upload yourself. Check whether clips actually go out on a schedule, and to how many accounts per platform.
  • How long files are kept. ChopHub keeps clips for 30 days on every plan. A short storage window on a free plan means downloading quickly.
  • What the free plan really includes. Watermarks, aspect ratios, source length and which platforms you can post to all vary.

Then try each one on your own footage. ChopHub's own setup is on the homepage and in the docs.

Prices change — check each vendor's pricing page. OpusClip, Vizard and Klap figures come from their own public pricing pages and websites as of October 19, 2026, as recorded on our detailed comparison pages. ChopHub prices are on our pricing section.

Questions people ask

Which AI clipping tool is the right one for me?

It depends on what you need after the clip is made. OpusClip has the deeper editor and more import sources. Vizard's paid plans list the most credits and 4K export. Klap bills per clip and has the most integrations. ChopHub focuses on publishing: six platforms on every paid plan, several accounts per platform, posting times ranked from your own results, and re-posting past winners. The detailed comparisons cover each one plan by plan.

Do these tools have free plans?

OpusClip and Vizard each list a free plan with 60 credits a month and a watermark; ChopHub Free gives 30 free credits once (no monthly refill), also watermarked. ChopHub keeps Free-plan clips for 30 days; OpusClip and Vizard list 3 days on their free plans. Klap lets you try 1 video free.

Can these tools post clips to social media for me?

Yes, all four can. ChopHub posts to YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram on Free and to six platforms on every paid plan. OpusClip auto-posts to YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels on Starter and adds a social scheduler on Pro. Vizard lists 1 connected account on Free, 6 on Creator and 20 on Business. Klap lists TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn.

How do credits compare between tools?

ChopHub, OpusClip and Vizard count a credit as a minute of video. Klap counts the clips it generates instead. Check how each vendor defines its allowance before comparing plans directly.

Where do the competitor figures come from?

From each vendor's own public pricing page and website, checked on October 19, 2026. Prices change, so confirm on the vendor's own site before you decide. If something here is out of date, email support@chophub.io and we will correct it.
