Where OpusClip is stronger
Editing depth. OpusClip has a text- and timeline-based editor, with transitions, AI B-roll and dubbing on Pro. ChopHub's Studio edits through the transcript, captions, reframing, B-roll, music and branding, but it has no multi-track timeline or transitions. For those, ChopHub Pro and above can export to Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut.
Getting footage in. OpusClip Pro imports from 10+ sources, including cloud drives and recording tools. ChopHub takes file uploads and YouTube links only.
Teams and yearly price. OpusClip Pro includes a 2-seat team workspace and costs less per month on an annual plan. ChopHub Pro has 1 seat; shared seats start on the Team plan.
4K. OpusClip lists 4K schedule and download on its Business plan. ChopHub renders up to 1080p.
Track record. OpusClip is far more established. ChopHub is a small, newer product.
Where ChopHub is stronger
Posting on the entry plan. ChopHub Creator ($15) auto-posts to all six platforms with scheduling. OpusClip Starter, at the same price, posts to YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels and has no scheduler.
Publishing that never costs credits. Connect several accounts on each platform, including LinkedIn Company Pages, and post to all of them from one upload. Posting never uses credits.
Timing and reuse. Best Times ranks posting slots using your own past results. Turn on evergreen recycling and your best performers, ranked by real views, are re-queued into open slots, so the calendar keeps filling between uploads.
Knowing what worked. Insights pulls results from every platform into one place. Score Accuracy shows how the pre-publish score compared with real views, so you can see how far to trust it.
Thumbnails and covers. Design thumbnails in Thumbnail Studio, A/B test them, and have your cover burned in as the opening frame of Shorts and TikTok uploads, where those platforms ignore uploaded thumbnails.
Posting you don't have to watch. ChopHub checks your platform connections every hour and emails you about two days before one expires, with a reconnect link.
Clips that don't vanish. Clips are kept for 30 days on every plan, Free included, and yearly plans get their credits every month.
Switching to ChopHub as your OpusClip alternative
- Start on the Free plan. No card needed. You get 30 free credits to start (30 minutes of video, one-time — they don't refill) and up to 2 videos a month, so you can test ChopHub on the same footage you use with OpusClip.
- Bring your long recordings, not your finished clips. ChopHub works from the original video: upload the file (MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM, M4V, FLV or WMV) or paste a public YouTube link. It can't import projects or clips from OpusClip.
- Connect your accounts. Link YouTube, TikTok and Instagram on Free; Facebook, X and LinkedIn (including Company Pages) unlock on any paid plan. You can connect more than one account per platform.
- Recreate your look. Pick one of 50+ caption styles and an aspect ratio. On Pro and above, save a brand kit (logo, watermark, progress bar) so every clip matches.
- Run both for a week, then decide. Schedule a week of clips in ChopHub alongside your current setup and compare the results. Download anything you want to keep from OpusClip before you cancel: its pricing page lists a 3-day export window on Free and 29 days of media storage on Starter.
