How to Request Data Deletion
If you would like to delete your account and data from ChopHub, you have several options:
Option 1: Self-Service Account Deletion (Recommended)
- Log in to your ChopHub account
- Go to Settings → Account
- Scroll to the bottom and click "Delete Account"
- Confirm deletion in the dialog that appears
- Your account and all associated data will be deleted immediately
Option 2: Disconnect Platforms First (Optional)
If you want to disconnect individual platform integrations before deleting your account:
- Log in to your ChopHub account
- Go to Settings → Connected Platforms
- Click "Disconnect" next to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or X
- Your OAuth tokens for that platform will be immediately revoked and deleted
- You can disconnect all platforms individually or delete your entire account at once
Option 3: Email Data Deletion Request
You can also request data deletion via email:
- To: hello@chophub.io
- Subject: Data Deletion Request
- Include:
- Your ChopHub account email address
- Any account ID or username you're registered under
- Brief confirmation that you understand this action cannot be undone
We will process email-based deletion requests within 30 days.
Option 4: Meta Platform Deletion Tools
If ChopHub has integrated with Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram):
- Go to your Instagram or Facebook settings
- Navigate to Apps and Websites → Authorized Applications
- Find ChopHub and click "Remove"
- This revokes ChopHub's access to your Meta account
- Contact us at hello@chophub.io to confirm cloud data deletion
What Data We Store
ChopHub stores the following data in our AWS cloud infrastructure:
- Account Data: Email, username, encrypted password (via AWS Cognito)
- OAuth Tokens: Access tokens for connected platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X) stored securely in AWS Secrets Manager
- Platform User IDs: Identifiers from connected social media accounts
- Profile Information: Display names and profile pictures from connected accounts
- Job History: Records of videos processed, including timestamps, duration, and status
- Video Files: Original videos you upload (stored temporarily in AWS S3)
- Processed Clips: Generated short-form videos (stored in AWS EFS)
- User Settings: Preferences, notification settings, and configuration
What Gets Deleted
When you request data deletion, the following will be permanently removed from ChopHub:
- ✅ Your ChopHub account (email, username, password)
- ✅ All OAuth tokens and credentials for connected platforms
- ✅ Your profile information and settings
- ✅ Complete job history and video processing records
- ✅ Original video files and processed clips
- ✅ Metadata, titles, descriptions, and captions
- ✅ All cached profile pictures and thumbnails
- ✅ Platform user IDs and identifiers
What ChopHub Cannot Delete
The following data is stored on third-party platforms and must be deleted separately:
- Videos or content already published to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or X
- Data stored by the social media platforms themselves
- Public posts and comments made on social media
- Analytics and performance data held by platforms
- Messages and notifications from your followers
To delete content from these platforms, log in to each platform directly and delete the content there.

Data Deletion Confirmation
After your data is deleted, you will receive confirmation via:
- Self-Service Deletion: Immediate confirmation message on screen, followed by email receipt
- Email Request: Confirmation email sent to your registered email address within 30 days
- Platform Disconnect: In-app notification showing platform successfully disconnected

This will send a deletion request to hello@chophub.io. You will receive a confirmation email within 30 days.
GDPR and CCPA Rights
Depending on your location, you may have additional data protection rights:
European Union (GDPR)
- Right to be informed about data collection and processing
- Right to access your personal data (data access request)
- Right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restrict data processing
- Right to data portability (export your data)
- Right to object to processing
- Right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority
California (CCPA)
- Right to know what personal information is collected
- Right to know whether personal information is sold or shared
- Right to delete personal information collected from you
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information
- Right to opt-out of sale or sharing of personal information
